My name is Cory McLeod, and I come from the Moose Cree people. I’m proud to be a member of Missanabie Cree First Nation. My roots are strong — my family includes Carol Nolan, Dennis Latrelle, and many elders who have guided me. I live by our teachings, respect our ways, and stand for our people.

I believe our community deserves strong, transparent leadership that puts people first.
I’m committed to creating real opportunities for youth, improving access to housing, and protecting our land and culture.
I want to be a leader who listens, acts, and delivers. Our Nation needs more than just policies—it needs heart. That’s why I’m stepping up.

Since I was 14, I’ve worked hard to support myself and my community. From janitor at the YMCA to Deputy Chief of Missanabie Cree, I’ve served with heart and dedication. I’ve learned from our elders and led programs that help our people heal and grow. My life is guided by Indigenous teachings and the Seven Grandfather values: Wisdom, Love, Respect, Bravery, Honesty, Humility, and Truth.
